The Paper Beam lamps were imagined following an invitation from Galerie Surface to present an exhibition in their space in Saint-Étienne. The lampshades are made by gluing together strips of paper. Two lengthwise folds turn each strip into a rigid profile. By varying the colour combinations, the type of paper and the width of the strips, this construction principle allows many different versions to be created.

The lampshade is simply pinched between the flat aluminium parts that form the base, which are held together with O-rings. The Paper Beam lamps are made in our workshop. Every material is shaped by hand, and the structure is assembled without welding or screws, using a simple assembly system based on O-rings.
