Designed for danish company Our Society, the Dots collection comprises a chair and a bistro table, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Each part of the chair and table is assembled using only screws, without welding. This screwed construction celebrate the fastener components as an aesthetic commitment. The thirteen allen screws needed to assemble the chair are fully part of the drawing.
The screwed construction also allows the furniture to be transported flat. Finally, this system of individual parts enabled us to create a two-tone table with a contrasting central element.
Dots has been designed thinking of the special way the aluminium surfaces can be animated by light. Therefore reduced to simple shapes, the chair and the table are compositions of plane and curve surfaces contrasting with neatly cut thick edges.
